Mounted Component Diode

A mounted, silicon diode, designed for use in student circuits. Suitable for studying IV characteristics, and all circuit work including rectification. Diode polarity is indicated to aid circuit set up.

Note that for the GCSE Physics Required Practical “I-V Characteristics”, using a protective resistor (e.g. 10 Ohm, SX100-010) with the diode is recommended; this is to restrict high current flow through the diode.
